Painting Number 3 in my rooster series of 10. While living abroad in Australia, Germany and Brazil (visiting many Fazendas, Farms, and Hof ), I was able to capture oodles of rooster photos. My vision was that someday I would Paint a collection of these beautiful roosters. "King of the Coup" was inspired by observing how a Rooster struts across the Coup grounds standing so tall and behaving so proud. I wanted to capture his proud chest and broad feathers. There is no question who the boss is.
